Soapy Sally is an ancient, magical fox, who is the guardian of Bubble Fox Hollow and its magic.
Queen of the Sneeze-Cats
Sassy, proud, and Sally's self-professed best friend.
Sniffles is the Queen of the magical Sneeze-Cats — ancient, magical beings whose sneezes summon magic. The full extent of the magic is unknown, as of now. It seems to fill whatever the present need is.
Keeper of the balance
A phoenix-unicorn hybrid who breathes fire and freezes with her wings.
Frostfire is a phoenix/unicorn hybrid. She is a magnificent being who can freeze things with her wings and breathes fire. She is one of a kind, born from the flame of Fireheart and the frost of Frostwhisper.
Her greatest strength is bringing stability to Bubble Fox Hollow. Her unique blend of fire and ice enables her to calm hearts while shielding others from fear or danger. Her presence ensures that nature and emotions remain in harmony. The sound of her wings is a warning that an element has tipped too far in one direction.
The lantern of the forest
An ancient tortoise with a stained-glass shell. He barks.
Old Durtle (or Durtle) is an ancient, oversized tortoise whose back is made like stained glass and lights up bright enough to light an entire forest.
Collector of shiny things
An oversized, sometimes goofy parrot who lights up in every colour.
Mimsy is an oversized, sometimes goofy or dingy, parrot. He can also light up spaces, can light up different colours, and is absolutely obsessed with shiny things. Oh… and he is deathly afraid of squirrels.
The Steady Heart
The oldest cousin, and the group's emotional compass.
Grace is the oldest of the five cousins (12 in Book One; birthday August 13th). Cooper is her younger brother.
She can be stubborn at times, but overall simply feels responsible for the younger ones. She believes problems can be solved if everyone works together, but sometimes carries the weight of the world on her shoulders.
Grace is the emotional compass of the group. She doesn't try to lead — she just naturally does, because she listens, observes, and cares deeply. She's rarely the loudest voice, but often the one others turn toward.

The Quiet Thinker
Observant, analytical, and the "what if this goes wrong?" voice.
Clark is the next-to-oldest of the cousins (9 in Book One; birthday June 19th). He is the oldest of his siblings — Ruth and Owen.
Clark processes everything internally first. He's observant, analytical, and careful. When he speaks, it usually matters. Clark looks for logic and patterns. He wants to understand why things happen before jumping in. He is also very protective of the younger ones.

The Spark

Ruth is the middle child between Clark and Owen and is 8 in Book One (birthday October 3rd) — six months older than Cooper, which she likes to flaunt.
She feels everything out loud. She brings colour, imagination, and emotional energy to the group. Life is exciting, dramatic, magical, and very big. She tends to react first and think second — but her heart is always in the right place.

The Adventurer
Curiosity in motion. Must know the "why" of everything.
Cooper is the younger brother of Grace. He is also 8 (birthday April 13th).
He is the most curious of the bunch — he must know the "why" of everything. Cooper is curiosity in motion. He wants to explore, test, poke, climb, and figure things out firsthand. Everything is an adventure waiting to happen. Fear exists, but curiosity usually wins. He can also be the grumpiest of the group — especially if he's hungry!

The Wonder
The youngest of the crew — pure heart, and the class clown.
The youngest of the crew (5 in Book One; birthday April 6th). Owen is the "heart" of the book, in some sense. He keeps the crew — and Granny Roo — moving forward, even when they don't want to.
He's sweet, loving, compassionate — but also snarky and sarcastic. He's the "class clown" of the group. Owen is pure heart and innocence. He represents belief, trust, and emotional honesty. He believes the world is magical until proven otherwise, and accepts things adults might question.

The Root & Refuge
The family's emotional home base. She always knows more than she says.
Granny Roo is elderly, in her late 70s (birthday February 22nd). She is suffering from dementia — or so they think. Turns out, she just needs a "magic" touch.
She is at the heart of the Bubble Fox Hollow legacy, but the cousins don't know anything about this until much later. They don't even realise there is a legacy.
She is nurturing, supportive, and loving. The kids are her whole world. She is the family's emotional home base, and carries wisdom, comfort, humour, and quiet strength. She always knows more than she says. She believes life is a story made of lessons, love, and resilience — and that children should learn through experience, but always with a safety net beneath them.
